Student group Y’s Thoughts and the Skandalaris Center for Interdisciplinary Innovation and Entrepreneurship are honored to host the wonderful and talented Theresa Carrington as part of Women Entrepreneurship Week (WEW).

Background

Theresa will share her experiences facing and conquering moral dilemmas during her tenure as a social entrepreneur, and how these skills transcend both entrepreneurial endeavors as well as day-to-day life.

With the mission of empowering women in third-world countries through strategic economic development, The Blessing Basket Project has extended Theresa’s impact as an entrepreneur to aid the lives of thousands of women around the world.

Theresa is the Founder and CEO of The Blessing Basket Project (http://www.blessingbasket.org/).

Their mission: “The Blessing Basket Project® reduces poverty in developing countries by using our unique Prosperity Wages® model to pay for artisan products. This exclusive patent pending financial model creates a cycle of entrepreneur driven growth resulting in permanent financial independence for the artisan.”
