While Thanksgiving weekend is for family, friends, and food on Thursday, don’t forget to support local St. Louis small businesses on Small Business Saturday, November 24th, 2018.

Why Shop Small?

While there are many reasons to support small businesses in your community, a new Small Business Economic Impact Study highlighted the important economic benefits of shopping locally this holiday season:

  • An average of two-thirds of every dollar spent at a small business stays in that community.
  • Small businesses directly employ members of the community, and spending by those small businesses and their employers brings 50% of the money back into their community.
  • For every 10 jobs at a small business, another 7 are supported in the local community.

[messagebox] “For small business owners, their business is not just a business. To them, it is an extension of who they are. Giving the local businesses within your community a chance is crucial to not only their survival, but to give them an opportunity to win you over as a customer.”
