StEP Spotlights #3: UShuttle

WashU is full of student entrepreneurs with inspiring stories to tell.

That is why we have started our StEP Spotlights campaign, to highlight the amazing student business owners and their businesses that are thriving here on campus.

Taylor Chen and Elizabeth Waggoner are current juniors and are the co-owners of UShuttle. U-Shuttle is a student owned and operated transportation intermediary company that services the community of Washington University in St. Louis. U-Shuttle’s mission is to provide safe, convenient, and low-cost transportation for Washington University students, student groups and university departments.

When asked about their reasons for owning a business, they replied that “owning a business is a really unique experience where you can be challenged and learn a lot.” They also state that they want to be able to give back to the WashU community.

For anyone looking to be an entrepreneur, “develop a growth mindset and look at everything as a learning opportunity.”

– Elizabeth Waggoner
