This brand-new workshop series led by The Mission Center, L3C offers a fantastic opportunity for student, faculty, staff and community entrepreneurs to learn what it takes to launch a venture, whether commercial or social. This week, the group learned about innovation, systems thinking, and how to map their assets to find untapped resources that can help launch or sustain their venture. One highlight that is sure to bring people back was the discussion of “Red Ocean Strategy” versus “Blue Ocean Strategy.” Those operating with a red strategy aren’t creating new market places and exist only to beat the competition. Those using a blue strategy are creating new market places and making competition irrelevant – being innovators, entrepreneurs and game-changers. Considering 90% of participants said that this opening session was absolutely to moderately beneficial to them and their venture, this series is is a game-changer itself!

This unique opportunity to interact with a diverse pool of innovators continue every Sunday, in Bauer 330. For those who missed the previous week’s session, there will be a short debrief at Noon each week, then the next session will start at 1 pm. Additional opportunities to form collaborative groups and learn more about the Skandalaris Center’s competitions will be available as well.

Since 88% of participants said that they absolutely would or would be inclined to recommend this session to other entrepreneurs, we hope that you will join us next Sunday for the Introduction to the Business Model Canvas workshop! See our calendar for the topics for the remaining sessions and come train with us!
