With an Abundance of Gratitude

Dear Friends of Skandalaris,

As Thanksgiving approaches, and in the spirit of Chancellor Bill Danforth’s Thanksgiving Letters, the Skandalaris Team would like to extend our most sincere gratitude for your support during this past year. After more than a year of operating virtually, our team returned to 100% in-person operations in August and immediately commenced hosting in-person events, venture advising, and competitions.

We welcomed students, faculty, and staff back to campus with over 15 in-person events between August and November. The energy, excitement, and new ideas shared was contagious. This fall semester in-person has been a reminder that while we all pivoted and learned to operate in a virtual world, nothing can replace the impact of gathering, learning, innovating, and celebrating together in a common space. Though last year was full of uncertainty and revision, our community showed us that entrepreneurship is alive and thriving at Washington University.

The work of the innovation and entrepreneurship community has never been more important. Disruption and challenges present opportunities to see what is needed and make the world better. We are thankful to be a resource for this essential work and beyond grateful for the philanthropy provided to the Center by our generous community. Without that backing, we would be unable to support the change-makers the world needs now and always.

All the best to you, your friends, and your family. We are grateful for you.

With an abundance of gratitude,

II Luscri and the Skandalaris Center Team
