Y Combinator @ Washington University in St. Louis

A talk with Y Combinator Partner Gustaf Alstromer. Before YC, Gustaf spent 4.5 years at Airbnb where he worked as a Product Lead on the Growth team, a team he helped start in 2012. Prior to Airbnb, Gustaf was Head of Growth at Voxer, and before that, he was CEO & co-founder of Heysan, which was part of the YC W07 batch.

Gustaf will cover some of the myths that exist around starting startups, what you should do while you’re still in school if you want to start a company, and he’ll talk about how YC can help you get started.

Amy Chiu is the founder of Dear Brightly, a platform that offers prescription skin products online.Their mission is to get people access to the most effective, dermatologist vetted skincare products for healthy skin, using technology. Amy will talk about her startup journey and YC experience. Gustaf and Amy will also spend time answering your questions.

This event is hosted by the McKelvey School of Engineering.
