This workshop will feature YouTube entrepreneurs Kaylee Dubeau and Jordan Saglio who will be discussing how they started their YouTube channel, the challenges and rewards of social media entrepreneurship, and the sacrifices they had to make to be successful.
The Nomadic Movement is a YouTube channel with two amazing entrepreneurs, Kaylee and Jordan who are homesteading 3 acres of property in Boquete, a rural town in the heart of equatorial Panama. There is Lola the beagle (whom their farm is named after), Roger the cat, chickens, goats, and friends from the nearby town. Their first project? A workshop. High jinks and adventures quickly ensue as they try to figure out how to build a suitable structure during a quarantine, with elements of wind and rain, the likes of which they’ve never seen before. Their next project; their own small house with design help from WashU architecture students. They publish their twice a week videos to 270,000 YouTube subscribers which routinely receive more than 100,000, and some more than 2 million, views.
This workshop is presented in partnership with the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts.
