Open House at the Skandalaris Center for Interdisciplinary Innovation & Entrepreneurship

Stop by the Skandalaris Center between 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. to meet our staff, ask us questions, and learn about all the ways we encourage innovation and support student entrepreneurs. Free coffee, tea, soda and snacks, plus bring the kids to enjoy our Creativity Station! Stop by anytime or attend one of our panel discussions at 10:30 a.m., 1 p.m., and 2 p.m. to learn more about our student business owners, entrepreneurship competitions, and the Skandalaris Fellowship. Skandalaris Center Student Entrepreneur Program (StEP) Panel Discussion

Join us at 10:30 for a panel discussion with some of our Student Entrepreneurial Program (StEP) business owners. StEP provides a unique opportunity for students to own a business on campus that serves the WashU community. We’ll discuss the ins and outs of managing and leading a business as a full time student and how it can benefit / supplement a student’s education.

The Skandalaris Center’s Entrepreneurship Competitions Panel Discussion

At 1 p.m. the Skandalaris Center will host a panel discussion about the various entrepreneurship competitions we offer and how your student can get involved. We will touch on IdeaBounce®, the Skandalaris Venture Competition, and the Global Impact Award, which are all open to WashU students of any major and class level. Join us to learn about the prizes awarded and the benefits of competing including mentorship, networking, and guidance from our staff.

Skandalaris’ St. Louis Entrepreneurial Fellowship Program Panel Discussion

At 2 p.m., the Skandalaris Center will host a panel discussion about the St. Louis Entrepreneurial Fellowship. This program is open to all WashU undergraduate students who are excited to learn about innovation and entrepreneurship, have a desire to engage with the St. Louis entrepreneurial community, and want to do an internship with a St. Louis startup. Hear firsthand from a few Skandalaris Fellows about their experience in the program and any advice they might give to a student who is applying.
