‘Can I Be An Entrepreneur?’

Join our panelists as they inspire and encourage attendees to turn their passions into successful ideas. At this workshop, students will get the opportunity to hear how our panelists moved their passions forward into entrepreneurial ideas, and how their knowledge and skills can contribute to society while doing what they love.

Five attendees will win a copy of the book Value Proposition Design, How to create products and services customers want.

Meet Our Panelist:

Jerry Rosen is a Wash U alumnus with a career spanning over 30 years, having morphed from advertising art director to serial entrepreneur. He has launched multiple marketing and technology focused businesses serving roles as BOD Chair, CEO, CMO, CRO, and multiple director seats. Rosen’s experience includes media, content creative, eCommerce and SaaS software. His client list includes Coca Cola, McDonald’s, Arby’s, Wendy’s, MetLife, Roche/Genentech, Lufthansa, American Express, The Kennedy Space Center, Chicago White Sox, Bulls, Bears, Blackhawks, Fire and Frank Thomas’s Big Hurt Enterprises to name a few.

Gabriela Ramírez-Arellano helps entrepreneurs and small businesses launch and gain access to capital and opportunities for growth. As past Business Director, she redeveloped the Learning Series and is proud of the growth of the small business owners as a result of the information shared and presenters who dedicated their time and insight to the program. Recognized as a thought-leader in social innovation and entrepreneurship, a Diverse Business Leader, and one of the Top 100 people to know in St. Louis to succeed in business.

 

Jo Otey is a client manager for Covenant Technology Partners. He specializing in solving problems in data transformation and AI within enterprise, startups, and non-profits. Along with his technology advisor role at Covenant, Jo also offers consulting regarding the benefits of data in the food and beverage industry, particularly restaurants, while owning several of his own.  Jo believes that when you have a growth mindset anything is possible.
