Spectra is excited to announce that on Friday November 18th, Dr. Mary Lou Jepsen (OpenWater, formerly Executive Director of Engineering at Facebook and Oculus) will give an invited lecture as part of our student-invited lecture series. Dr. Jepsen is acclaimed for her work at Google [x], Facebook, Oculus, and One Laptop per Child in consumer electronics, computers, TV, VR, wearables, software and web services. Her breadth spans further into design, internet, automotive and medical devices. As the founder and CEO of OpenWater, Dr. Jepsen aims to replace the functionality of MRI with a consumer electronics wearable using novel
opto-electronics to achieve comparable resolution to MRI.
