How VCs Evaluate Startups: The Ts Framework

Thursday, March 20, 2025 @ 4:00 pm5:00 pm

Investors see thousands of pitch decks a year, yet on average, a VC spends only 10 minutes reviewing each one. How do they decide if a startup is worth doing deeper due diligence?

Join us for the first session of our Venture Evaluation Series, where we’ll teach you how investors break down early-stage startups using the Ts Framework—a structured approach that helps VCs filter through deals efficiently. Whether you’re a founder looking to understand investor thinking or a student interested in venture capital—regardless of your background in business, engineering, biosciences, healthcare, law, or beyond—this workshop will provide hands-on insights into what separates promising startups from the rest.

This session will also introduce the Venture Capital Investment Competition (VCIC), the premier international competition where students step into the role of venture capitalists, evaluating real startups and making investment decisions.
