Public Health IdeaBounce®

October 19 @ 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm

Big ideas can build healthier communities.

Have an idea that could improve health and well-being? Public Health IdeaBounce® is an opportunity to share it, receive feedback and connect with people who want to help turn promising concepts into action.

We welcome ideas addressing public health challenges at any scale—from improving individual access to care to creating healthier neighborhoods, systems and communities. Topics may include health equity, mental health, nutrition, environmental health, maternal health, health technology, disease prevention, community wellness and more.

Ideas can be early-stage, and no business plan, prototype or established team is required. You simply need a problem you care about and an idea worth exploring.

Pitch an Idea

Present your public health idea to a supportive audience of students, faculty, staff, entrepreneurs, health professionals and community members. Participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Practice communicating their idea
  • Receive helpful feedback
  • Meet potential collaborators and mentors
  • Build connections across public health and entrepreneurship
  • Compete for recognition and possible funding or prizes

Attend and Join the Conversation

You do not need to pitch to participate. Come hear new ideas, offer feedback and connect with people working to create healthier, more equitable communities.

Public Health IdeaBounce® is open to WashU students, faculty, staff, alumni and members of the broader community. Whether you bring an idea, professional expertise or curiosity, your perspective can help move an idea forward.

What Could You Pitch?

Your idea might address:

  • Access to healthcare and essential services
  • Mental and behavioral health
  • Health equity and social determinants of health
  • Nutrition, food access and physical activity
  • Maternal, infant or family health
  • Environmental and community health
  • Disease prevention and health education
  • Digital health, medical technology or health data
  • Emergency preparedness and community resilience

These are only starting points. If your idea can improve health or strengthen communities, we want to hear it.
