Atima Lui: HER Story After WashU
Growing up in Topeka, Kansas, Atima Lui (BSBA ’12) felt that her dark skin tone never quite fit in with the standard of beauty in her community. She is now changing the way women of color see beauty and fashion.
Taking her passion for black activism and female empowerment, Lui founded New York City-based NUDEST, a machine learning skin tone matching software for beauty and fashion brands. The patent-pending technology helps online shoppers identify products that match their unique complexion.
After graduating from WashU in 2012, Lui worked in marketing for Walmart headquarters, then attended Harvard Business School. While there, she participated in the Harvard Venture Incubation Program and Harvard Rock Accelerator.
Come to the HER Summit on November 3rd to hear more about Atima Lui’s story as she shares her unique perspective on rising above gender norms in the entrepreneurial realm. Register for free!
