Big Ideas, Two Minutes: IdeaBounce® Energizes WashU Entrepreneurs

Skandalaris Center

March 26, 2026

On Monday, March 23, the Skandalaris Center for Interdisciplinary Innovation and Entrepreneurship brought the WashU community together for another high-energy IdeaBounce®.

At the Skandalaris Center’s IdeaBounce® event, WashU students pitched early-stage ideas, received feedback from judges, and built connections to advance their ventures. Held in Seigle Hall, Room L006, the room quickly filled with students, founders, and community members eager to pitch, listen, and connect.

The Evening’s Top Ideas:

  • Family Reunion – Courtney Harris
  • Mindy Knows – Mindy Horowitz
  • Savoro – Evan Tan (MSA ’26)

A Platform for Ideas at Any Stage

IdeaBounce® is designed to meet ideas exactly where they are, whether fully formed or just beginning to take shape. At the event, participants took the stage to deliver two-minute, slide-free pitches, sharing concepts ranging from early-stage ventures to bold, untested ideas. Judges evaluated each pitch based on clarity, passion, and a clear ask for support, creating an environment that prioritizes both feedback and forward motion.

But IdeaBounce isn’t just about pitching. It’s about connection.

From Idea to Action

IdeaBounce is built on a simple but powerful premise: progress starts with sharing. The event is part of a broader platform that allows anyone to post ideas at any stage, connect with collaborators, and move concepts forward beyond the event itself. For many participants, those two minutes on stage are just the beginning, a first step toward refining, building, and potentially launching something bigger. Cash prizes awarded to top ideas added an extra layer of excitement, but the real value came from the experience: clarity, confidence, and community.
