The Skandalaris Center offers three primary business plan competitions. In 2016-2017, the Skandalaris Center and its partner organizations awarded over $718,000 in funding to Washington University-affiliated ventures.
LEAP Inventor Challenge
The LEAP Inventor Challenge awards funding to those with translational research and inventions with the goal of advancing Washington University in St. Louis’s intellectual property towards commercialization.
Open to: Washington University faculty, postdoc, graduate student, and staff research teams
Global Impact Award
The Global Impact Award is for ventures that are scalable and sustainable with proof of concept and a broad impact.
Open to: Washington University undergraduate and graduate students, postdocs, residents, and recent alumni (<10 years)
Skandalaris Center Cup
The Skandalaris Center Cup is for early-stage, scalable ventures.
Open to: Washington University students, postdocs, and recent alumni

The Social Enterprise Impact Accelerator supports individuals and teams in the development of revenue-generating, high-impact social enterprises.
