The Skandalaris Center offers three primary venture competitions. In 2016-2017, the Skandalaris Center and its partner organizations awarded over $718,000 in funding to Washington University-affiliated ventures.
Leadership and Entrepreneurial Acceleration Program (LEAP)
LEAP provides developmental experience, industry connections, and resources to research teams with the goal of advancing Washington University intellectual property towards commercialization.
Open to: Any person/team with Washington University intellectual property
Global Impact Award
The Global Impact Award is for ventures that are scalable and sustainable with proof of concept and a broad impact.
Open to: Washington University undergraduate and graduate students, postdocs, residents, and recent alumni (<10 years)
Skandalaris Venture Competition
The Skandalaris Venture Competition is for early-stage startups and new ventures.
Open to: current Washington University students

The Social Enterprise Impact Accelerator supports individuals and teams in the development of revenue-generating, high-impact social enterprises.
Open to: St. Louis community at large
This special opportunity provides engineering undergraduate students the forum to explore their entrepreneurial interests with support from mentors, to use their creativity to develop solutions for real-world problems and to compete for financial resources that could help turn their ideas into businesses.
