Despite the occasional rain shower, the Skandalaris Center showcased the best of innovation and entrepreneurship at Washington University and in St. Louis on Tuesday night with the first-ever Innovation and Entrepreneurship Fair!
There were tables representing the diverse entrepreneurial student groups, including the Entrepreneurship Club, Bear Studios, WUSTL Innovators, IDEA Labs, BEC and StEP. In addition to the student groups, several community entrepreneurs were represented as well. Perennial hosted a crafting table where students could turn found items into treasures and Circus Harmony provided the entertainment for the evening with a troupe of their talented young circus performers! Cookies from Angel Baked Cookies and frozen custard from Ted Drewes provided a refreshing break from the typical St. Louis summer humidity.
For those interested in social entrepreneurship, you will notice that Perennial, Circus Harmony and Angel Baked cookies are all past winners of the Skandalaris Center’s annual Social Enterprise and Innovation Competition.
A little bad weather never stopped the most driven entrepreneur and the Skandalaris Center certainly wasn’t going to let it ruin our fun! Check back soon for additional photos of the celebration!
