Andrew Sachs (AB ’88) will interview film and commercial director Frederik Bond. Fredrik will share how he got his start in the highly competitive TV commercial business, before exploring how each commercial is like building a business.

Following the interview, Andrew and Frederik will answer questions for the audience. Attendees will then break into teams to develop their own two-minute commercial pitches. This will be a fun and interactive experience for everyone, so invite some friends or make new connections through this creative and cooperative event.

About the Speakers

The film and commercial director Fredrik Bond is a master storyteller who puts himself in the hot seat on March 5, 2021. Mr. Bond has created commercials for Apple, Adidas, Guinness, Heineken, H&M, Levis, to name but a few. He also directed the feature film The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman. The list of stars he has worked with includes David Beckham, Kevin Hart, Shia Lebouf, Jason Statham. He has a long list of distinguished awards and accolades to attest to his achievements, and his directorial works rarely fail to achieve critical and monetary success.

Andrew Sachs is a graduate of Washington University and a successful entrepreneur who claims that everything he needed to succeed in business, he learned working in the American Theatre. He is an investor in Commercial and Multifamily Real Estate, the President of Gateway Parking Services, the Founder of RocketGourmet, a co-Founder of Lincoln Center Theatre’s Directors Lab West, and responsible for more flops than he would like to admit.
