On Wednesday 10/26, Express Scripts is hosting a free screening of the film CODE: Debugging the Gender Gap, which examines the reasons why more girls and people of color are not seeking opportunities in computer science and explores how cultural mindsets, stereotypes, educational hurdles and sexism all play roles in this national crisis.

By the year 2020, the United States will have one million unfilled software engineering jobs. Tech jobs are growing at a rate three times faster than our colleges and universities are producing CS graduates. And yet at most of the country’s leading technology companies, women and people of color account for less than 20% of the tech workforce.

We hope you will join us, and bring your spouses and children to this powerful film, to be followed by a panel featuring:

  • Ginger Imster, Executive Director of Arch Grants
  • Vicki Sauter, Ph.D., Professor of Information Systems at University of Missouri St. Louis
  • Tonya Browning, Ph.D, Vice President of User Experience at Express Scripts
  • Elizabeth Russell, CEO of DataDog Health, Inc.

Details are attached. Space is limited, so please RSVP.
