Dear friends of the Skandalaris Center,
For those who have not seen the official announcement, I will be leaving Washington University in St. Louis at the end of the year to pursue a similar position at Arizona State University.
I could not be more grateful to Washington University for the opportunity to lead the Skandalaris Center. The last three-and-a-half years have been a wonderful adventure, and I am so appreciative to have worked with and learned from such amazing students, faculty, and administration. It is hard to come by a community as collaborative as Washington University.
Prior to moving to St. Louis, my wife, Mary Ann, and I called Southern Arizona home for 30 years. While we have loved the community that we have connected with here in St. Louis, we are very excited to return home to Arizona.
During the transition, Dr. Ralph S. Quatrano, former Dean of the School of Engineering and Applied Science, will serve as the Interim Director of the Skandalaris Center. Between Ralph and my incredible colleagues, I am confident that the Skandalaris Center is in good hands.
After my departure, I will remotely continue with a 25% appointment here to continue work on two NIH-funded projects on the development of online entrepreneurship teaching tools. So, I will remain within arm’s reach for a while. Don’t be a stranger!
Again, I am very grateful for my time at Washington University. Thank you for being a part of it.
Warm regards,
Emre Toker
