The application is now open for the 2018 Global Impact Award (GIA), Washington University in St. Louis’s business plan competition for ventures that are scalable, sustainable, and quick-to-market with proof of concept and a broad impact.
Established in 2013, the competition is facilitated by Washington University’s Skandalaris Center for Interdisciplinary Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and is made possible by a generous donation from alumnus, Suren G. Dutia, and his wife, Jas K. Grewal. The competition is open to Washington University students, postdocs, residents, and recent alumni (less than 10 years).
The deadline to apply for the Global Impact Award is March 19, 2018. Finalists will be selected and announced in mid-April. From April through the final event in October, finalists will receive expert mentorship and connections to people or organizations that accelerate their development. At the final event in October, a Global Impact Award winner (or winners) will be selected and can receive up to $50,000.
