On September 26, 2018, Corey Rimmel shared all about how his many business ventures led him to taking a risk in the Cannabis industry at our Meet & Eat.
Corey graduated from the University of Missouri – Columbia in 2012. He is the Founder of Hot Box Cookies and MizzMenus.com. Currently, he is the Director of Operations* for Green Fox Enterprises, a consultancy for cannabis companies. Impressively enough, Corey started his first business as a full-time college student. As a young entrepreneur, he learned a great deal about the ins and outs of starting a business. Corey claimed that he had “never seen anyone that wasn’t hardworking be successful at starting their own business,” so for anyone dreaming of starting or running their own business, dedication and self-discipline are a must.
Corey advised the group not to “chase every squirrel you see,” as the saying goes. Reflecting on his history of ventures, he regretted getting involved with too many businesses at once because he wasn’t able to focus on one in particular to allow it to flourish and grow to its fullest potential. A great deal of Corey’s success is attributed to his willingness to take risks, as he did by entering the cannabis industry, an up and coming industry with an unpredictable future.
“It was really nice learning about Corey’s story, how he started a business in college, and how he is delving into a new industry where things are uncertain, but there’s a lot of potential and growth.”
