The Summer with Skandy event series continued with a Summer IdeaBounce® on Wednesday, June. 29, 2022. This IdeaBounce® featured small businesses within the Saint Louis ecosystem giving a two minute pitch and networking with WashU students and other local entrepreneurs. At this event, seven fantastic startups pitched their small businesses to over 30 attendees. These seven startups included:

Bold Spoon Creamery (Rachel Burns), a 100% family-owned and operated ice cream company, made on a family farm in Missouri.

Delicious Delights By UniqlyD’zynd LLC (Detra Norwood), a black-owned company that provides fresh baked cookies. This company strives to find people their perfect cookie.

Always Look Inward (DJ Carpenter), a media company looking to connect content creators and other creatives to create an ecosystem and share resources to get to the next level.

Church Productions (Jamar Pinkston), a production moment that plans to create life-long memories through videography and photography.

KLR (Kyona Robinson), a natural luxe lifestyle brand offering all-natural organic body butters made with infused and essential oils.

Fervo (Chris and Josh), an app with monetary gains and losses if you complete daily tasks. Fervo also limits your task list to ensure you make realistic goals.

EliylahJs (Eliylah & Ebony), a hair and skincare line of natural products and is child friendly. These Products are designed to provide high energy and holistic healing while enhancing your beauty.

Each startup founder ensued confidence and energy in their pitches, creating an environment of excitement and inspiration for the audience members.  After being inspired by our bouncers, several audience members participated in the open-mic portion, sharing their business ideas amongst the crowd. After all pitches were heard, the networking portion of the event followed, where audience members enjoyed ice cream from local startup, Ice Cream for Bears.
