About the Speakers:

Jennifer Bardot, Author, VP Senior Business Banker for Enterprise Bank and Trust

Jennifer Bardot is a VP Senior Business Banker for Enterprise Bank and Trust. She has over 20 years of experience working in small businesses in the St Louis Community in the areas of Customer Service, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Business Development and Recruiting. Jennifer Earned BA in Business Administration, and has Two Masters Degrees in Secondary Education Counseling & Private Practice Therapy. She also has certifications in Real Estate, and Leadership. Jennifer was named top business banker, top 100 people in St Louis to know to grow your business by small business monthly, and was awarded Presidents Circle by Enterprise Bank & Trust. She completed Focus St. Louis Coro Women Leadership Program Cohort 72. She is involved in the St Louis community by volunteering on the Recruitment & Service Supplier Committee for the Associated of General Contractors of Missouri, Corporate Partner for St Louis Art Museum, Innovation Mentor for Saint Louis University, Committee Member for Diversity & Women’s group for the Association of Corporate Growth, Advisory Board Member for Aligned investing in the workforce of tomorrow. She has three boys and is a full-time mother to her young family.

Shar C. Smith, emPOWER You Consulting, LLC

Shar C. Smith, M.Ed. is a leadership coach, consultant, and author. She specializes in coaching working moms to overcome self-doubt and imposter syndrome. Shar is the founder of emPOWER You Consulting, LLC, a leadership development firm that maximizes potential and accelerates career growth for new leaders, emerging leaders, and women. She is a speaker and program creator, often speaking on leadership, mentorship, and overcoming self-doubt & imposter syndrome. In addition to being an entrepreneur, Shar has over 15 years of leadership experience, and has led teams at various Fortune 500 companies and non-profit organizations. She obtained her Master’s of Education in Adult & Higher Education from the University of Missouri – St. Louis and Bachelor’s of Business Administration from the University of Missouri – Kansas City. Shar also holds a Women in Leadership certification from Cornell University, and a Project Management certification from Purdue University. She is also a new International Best-Selling author for her contribution to “Owning Your G.R.I.T.” 

Cate Redfern, Adansonia Consulting 

Cate Redfern is a South African-born American with 20+ years’ experience as a nonprofit board member, volunteer, development director and executive management team member in South Africa, Botswana, the Cayman Islands and the United States. She is a social impact strategist and founded Adansonia Consulting in 2014 to provide consulting services to nonprofits and community-oriented business leaders to maximize their social impact through effective community-focused organizational development, change management, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement. Cate volunteers as an Auxiliary Member of SCORE: St. Louis Chapter, providing SCORE mentors and their nonprofit clients with nonprofit expertise, and presents their nonprofit education programs. Cate serves on several Boards of Directors, including In-Home English Learning Program, Beverly Farm Foundation, and Girls on Fire. Cate is a reiki practitioner and is committed to making the world a better place by facilitating connection through love, compassion and kindness. She has lived in St. Louis, MO since 2008, and loves spending time outdoors on her road bike, mountain bike, kayak or in her hiking boots.

Trish Jensen, Millicare by M.R. Jensen Enterprises, Millicare by Optimum Floor Care

Trish Jensen is the owner of Millicare by M.R. Jensen Enterprises and Millicare by Optimum Floor Care, franchises that focus on cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining all types of flooring and textiles for commercial spaces. Trish and her husband Mitchell founded M.R. Jensen Enterprises in St. Louis, Missouri, in 1997 and expanded into the Chicago, Illinois, area with Optimum Floor Care in 2019. Trish and Mitch moved to St. Louis to start their first business with nothing but their baby girl and a dream to build their own business. Trish graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelor’s degree in English in 1997, two weeks after giving birth to their first child. Trish has been married to Mitchell Ray Jensen for twenty-six years and are the proud parents of four children: one daughter and three sons and have one grand baby!

This event is open to all but geared towards young entrepreneurs.
