StEP Buying a Business Workshop
Monday, February 24, 2025 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm
Skandalaris Center, Mallinckrodt 128, 6465 Forsyth Blvd #128, St. Louis, MO 63105
If you are a WashU undergraduate student interested in buying into an existing StEP business, you must attend this mandatory workshop. We welcome others to join who are interested in learning about how to value a small business. Hosted by Brown School Faculty and StEP Advisory Board Member, Dr. Joseph Steensma, you’ll learn how to value a StEP business, more about the StEP framework, and details about the sales process.
The Student Enterprise Program (StEP) provides a unique opportunity for students to own a business on campus that serves the WashU community.
This workshop gives prospective StEP buyers the knowledge and insight needed to make informed decisions when choosing to purchase an existing StEP Business. This workshop helps the student become aware of both the advantages and disadvantages of buying into a StEP business and digs deeper into the reason why a current StEP owner might be selling their share of the business.
