Power HER Pitch
Presented by the Simon Initiative at the Skandalaris Center
WashU affiliated members were invited to join founder of Ten by Three, Theresa Carrington, for a powerful pitch workshop to develop your venture concept and polish your pitch! When it comes to venture capital or startup funding, there is a staggering gender gap. According to Fortune Magazine, in 2017 women received only about 4% of all venture capital funding. Not only did they receive far less of the funding pie, but they also received smaller checks. Theresa, a successful global entrepreneur, knows from her entrepreneurial journey, success begins with the power of your voice. She believes women would receive more funding, and deeper support for their ideas if they were able to leverage the power within their voice. During this highly interactive workshop, attendees learned that it is not just what you say, but how you say it which can determine business success. Whether you are an entrepreneur who wants to increase the success of your next elevator pitch, or you are wanting to increase your odds of landing your next job, this Simon Initiative workshop ensured that female entrepreneurs have the right voice that sets them up for success.
